Alpha Course
Starts Tuesday January 22, 2008
Does it feel like you have gaps in your understanding of Jesus and the Christian faith? Are you new to faith, or are you just checking things out. Consider attending Alpha Course. A typical Alpha evening starts with coffee and snacks, while we watch a teaching video by Nicky Gumbel, then we discuss the nights topic or any other questions that may arise, or that you may have about Jesus or Christianity. Alpha runs for about 12 weeks. The Alpha kick off Dinner will be on, January 22, 2008 at 6:30 pm, with following Tuesdays 6:45 pm to 9:00 pm (with a weekend session on March 7 & 8). Call the office to register for the introductory dinner at 577-3463.

Redwood is not your typical church, you can tell when you first walk in. Regardless if you are new to Redwood or have been a part of the community for decades, make sure to take in one of these sessions. This is Redwood explains the important ideas and cultural values of our church. This course walks participants through the key elements of what we believe and explains why we do church the way we do.

The most effective people in the church are often those who admit they don’t have their spiritual journey totally all together. The Pastoral Care Workshops for the Winter will be focusing on how can better connect with the living God, while living in the busy world. These workshops might just help you become a more effective follower of Jesus.

Sometimes our prayers feel like they don’t go beyond the ceiling and never reach God. This fun and interactive workshop will cover some of the roadblocks we all face when we go to prayer.
